C++ SUPPORT
By default, if the 8-bit library is being built, the configure
script will search for a C++ compiler and C++ header files. If it
finds them, it automatically builds the C++ wrapper library
(which supports only 8-bit strings). You can disable this by
adding
--disable-cpp
to the configure
command.
